After passing west from Ft. Myers upon the Okeechobee Waterway through the Franklin locks is the town of Alva, Fl. One of our favorite Marinas is Railto. They have a unique facility. A horticulturist is employed full time. Floral surrounds your every step. Bev enjoys the pool, with it's thirteen miles of walking paths. Every boat has it's individual tee dock, as well as an enclosed dinning area. We enjoy roughing it by grilling outside. They prepair the grill with cherry hard wood and set the table for your use. This is a nice break for Bev, in that she does not have to prepair another meal upon the electric stove. I sizzle the steak to perfection and Bev serves up the additional items. I have to agree, this does add a new dimension to camping. Rialto is an oasis of trees and gardens in an area that grows hundreds of miles of sugar cane, grazing for cattle and some orchards.
